Countdown towards the EFPT Theologos: What to expect.

The EFPT Theologos is almost a week away, and the excitement among the riders is starting to intensify. Happening from the 8th till the 12th of September the event will be preceded by our rookies camp where Julian Wiemar and Jacopo Testa will prep the future generation of competitors for our main event. There is a total of 15.000 euros in prize money up for grabs which means this will be a mixed event with Men, Women and Juniors competing. There are already more than 30 men registered, including big names like Yentel Caers, Taty Frans and multiple world champion Gollito Estredo. Everything is gearing up for some exciting competition!

As you can see in Jacopo Testa’s (AV-Boards/Point-7) video, the conditions are expected to be perfect for competition. In the words of Tobias Gottfried, the owner of Surf and Kite Theologos:

Coming from a Northerly direction, the wind funnels through between the Turkish mainland and the island of Rhodes, to hit the shores with 20 plus knots. With small chops close the beach and bigger swell waves further out, riders like Yentel Caers (JP/Neilpryde), Jacopo Testa (POINT-7) and Adi Beholz, have been using the spot as their training location in previous years.

The mix of water conditions with nice 4.8/5.2 winds will surely prove to be ideal. You can follow the competition on our social media channels (@efptour) and our website efpt.net. We will also Livestream the Top 16 heats onwards for the Men here. We are looking forward to bring you some action from this new and promising spot!
